The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benet Amorebieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benet Amorebieta ran back to his position shaking his head. Benet Amorebieta scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Vítor Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute, Benet Amorebieta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dark Drinkers Sanok fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matteo Suloaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. José Vítor Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benet Amorebieta went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Botafogo MZRJ! Benet Amorebieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Benet Amorebieta came free, but José Vítor Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Dark Drinkers Sanok's Matty Cash made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor Netto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Benet Amorebieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Vítor Netto. Botafogo MZRJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benet Amorebieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper José Vítor Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 minutes Botafogo MZRJ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nando Campidelis who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Botafogo MZRJ defense, Benet Amorebieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor Netto. The Botafogo MZRJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor Netto should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Benet Amorebieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Vítor Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 47th minute, Maurício Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Benet Amorebieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Vítor Netto. Botafogo MZRJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benet Amorebieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The Botafogo MZRJ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dark Drinkers Sanok were winning 0-8.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Capixaba to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benet Amorebieta in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the game, Benet Amorebieta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. José Vítor Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benet Amorebieta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Vítor Netto having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Benet Amorebieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Vítor Netto was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benet Amorebieta in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Vítor Netto saved Botafogo MZRJ from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Benet Amorebieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Novaes charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Novaes to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benet Amorebieta's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Maurício Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. José Vítor Netto came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Dark Drinkers Sanok's Benet Amorebieta. But to his dismay, Benet Amorebieta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Botafogo MZRJ made a substitution. Gilmar Couto replaced Jailson Capixaba. In the 83rd minute, Dark Drinkers Sanok's Benet Amorebieta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Vítor Netto. José Vítor Netto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Serginho Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Józef Wandzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benet Amorebieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benet Amorebieta ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto got control of the ball when Benet Amorebieta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Botafogo MZRJ's Maurício Félix managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Javier Zanetti in the 96 minute of the game. The Botafogo MZRJ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dark Drinkers Sanok were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
