Nando Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 冯永宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Maranhense during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Illinois Bluewaters got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Maranhense. Nando Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Maranhense in the 17th minute of play. Illinois Bluewaters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 冯永宽 in the 19th minute. After taking down the ball on Illinois Bluewaters's corner 冯永宽 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nando Toscano quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20th minute, Gaspar Abastas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Danilo Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevon Abancens in the 35th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Escuadrón Mercenario's Roger Myles threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Estevon Abancens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th minute Danilo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Güneş İltemur's late challenge caught a Escuadrón Mercenario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güneş İltemur helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Illinois Bluewaters got a freekick which was hit by Güneş İltemur. Roger Myles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Estevon Abancens in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Estevon Abancens made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Şeray Gürgen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Escuadrón Mercenario's Gartxot Abeita seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gartxot Abeita the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Escuadrón Mercenario protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gartxot Abeita had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nando Toscano had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping 冯永宽's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 57 minutes Escuadrón Mercenario's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 冯永宽 who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Escuadrón Mercenario getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Zé Pedro Medeiros hit a great ball. Nando Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 冯永宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Illinois Bluewaters's Danilo Maranhense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nando Toscano. That made the score 0-1 after 89 minutes of play. Illinois Bluewaters made a substitution. Sal Jarrell replaced Şeray Gürgen. Escuadrón Mercenario's Peli Abalos got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Illinois Bluewaters's Danilo Maranhense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nando Toscano. That made the score 0-2 after 98 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Illinois Bluewaters walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
