Spectators: 169 (Terracing: 127, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Remzi Oruz got the match started through his kick off. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergen Sergen in the 4th minute of play. Jay Jowsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Tono, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC got a corner. Attard Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Geleberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aldo Tono was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's Remzi Oruz got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Sergen Sergen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kim-André van der Schans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remzi Oruz got free with Jay Jowsey in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute Remzi Oruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Geleberto in the 26th minute. Honorio Geleberto made a great header on Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's corner, it was just that Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey managed to reach the ball for a save. 29 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Remzi Oruz came free, but Jay Jowsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Oriol to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remzi Oruz in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Jowsey saved Attard Gunners from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Adrian Grech in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's Niceto Oriol. Peter Paul Mercieca kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Remzi Oruz rounded Attard Gunners's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 46 minutes into the game, Niceto Oriol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alan Said to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergen Sergen. Niceto Oriol kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Kim-André van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Said, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen managed to work through Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sergen Sergen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Attard Gunners's goalie and right to Remzi Oruz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Attard Gunners's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Said in the 70th minute of play forced Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Remzi Oruz put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jay Jowsey. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remzi Oruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Testaferrata Olivier in the 86th minute of play forced Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Adrian Grech hit a great ball. The supporters of Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Grech didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godwin Sapiano to maneuver through the defense. Kim-André van der Schans made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Michael Testaferrata Olivier sent off a good shot on target. Attard Gunners's Godwin Sapiano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kim-André van der Schans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Attard Gunners for a fine match.
