With an all-out effort, El Retorno de Palermo's David Lundgren threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Ofelio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 22 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Bezerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Faron. Redbull Sala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ejvind Haversen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute Ejvind Haversen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ejvind Haversen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Faron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Bezerra went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Carlos Alberto Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Faron. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Faron should have stopped the shot. The El Retorno de Palermo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Redbull Sala were winning 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Ofelio made a kick off. Carlos Alberto Bezerra hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Sergio Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Redbull Sala got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Falkrantz. In the 78th minute, Ejvind Haversen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergio Faron. The goal made the score 1-9. Carlos Alberto Bezerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Faron having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Carlos Alberto Bezerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Sergio Faron to make any attempt to save it. Carlos Alberto Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Faron having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Bezerra in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Faron saved El Retorno de Palermo from getting behind. When Ejvind Haversen came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Redbull Sala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ejvind Haversen couldn't finish the play. Sergio Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Redbull Sala's Carlos Alberto Bezerra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sergio Faron. That made the score 1-11 after 92 minutes of play. When the match was over Redbull Sala could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Retorno de Palermo throughout the match.
