In the 13th minute Challacó were awarded a corner. Daniel Cáceres went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmond Boureau in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timoteo Gines prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roberto Romário who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Timoteo Gines when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Ciseski‘s's Timoteo Gines threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Romário, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Challacó walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
