Michael Näver took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cevdet Hızarcı. İZZEDDİN EL KASSAM TUGAYI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Protegéerna got a corner. İZZEDDİN EL KASSAM TUGAYI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Näver ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cevdet Hızarcı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Söderlund in the 21st minute of the match. Cevdet Hızarcı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulrik Söderlund went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Fethi Sekin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingemar Åberg. Protegéerna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fethi Sekin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 27th match minute, İZZEDDİN EL KASSAM TUGAYI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Beckeman to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Python in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cevdet Hızarcı saved İZZEDDİN EL KASSAM TUGAYI from getting behind. In the 34th play minute Denizhan Özguc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ingemar Åberg. 3-1. Cevdet Hızarcı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 36th minute of the match. Denizhan Özguc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Åberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birant Hasanoğlu in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denizhan Özguc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guido Python sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cevdet Hızarcı was a little too slow when Christer Nyberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 3-3. Ali Asım Dilhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ingemar Åberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
