Ove Orm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Kovács in the 2nd minute of play. After 3 played minutes Elefanterna got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Hjort. Ove Orm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Åkesson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Péter Mészáros made a huge save. Péter Mészáros made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Nilmar Paraense sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Elefanterna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rich Durbridge was slow to take the kick. During this time Csabagyöngye's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Csabagyöngye's corner Rich Durbridge fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ove Orm quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Fabelo in the 27th minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Ove Orm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Gabriel Fabelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ove Orm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Olov Åkesson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Péter Mészáros. Olov Åkesson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 39 minutes Elefanterna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rich Durbridge who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endre Rahner in the 40th minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Ove Orm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hjalmar Hjort. Ove Orm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gergely Dobi in the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Fabelo to strike the kick off in the second half. Péter Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Eagle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Rich Durbridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Péter Mészáros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Eagle in the 66th minute of play. Ove Orm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Elefanterna's Ove Orm got control of the ball when János Kovács tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbert Dömötör got free with Ove Orm in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Csabagyöngye's Conrado Saraiva was substituted for Gergely Dobi. In the 84th minute Nilmar Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Mészáros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Csabagyöngye players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
