An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgün Hatip in the 27th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Özgün Hatip had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Silveira. Salelles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Özgün Hatip was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 31st minute of the match Galapagos Islands FC got a corner. Salelles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niklas Möller ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gunnar Nyman took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giuseppe Silveira. Giuseppe Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 37th minute Txema Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgün Hatip in the 38th minute of play. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Mantoiu in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Salelles booed when Galapagos Islands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew De la Torre in the 46th minute of play.
