A sloppy throw-in by Håkan Ödman in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC NagelBitarna's Malte Wallgren. In the 46th minute Genílson Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Giejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute Marcelo Gallarde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Giejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson Carneiro got free with Piotr Giejda in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Piotr Giejda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubinho Novaes in the 68th minute. Piotr Giejda was a little too slow when Genílson Carneiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 76thth minute of the game Rubinho Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NagelBitarna's Piotr Giejda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Di Marzio in the 80th minute of play forced FC NagelBitarna's goalkeeper Piotr Giejda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC NagelBitarna's attentive Angelo Cavallaro managed to snatch the ball when Håkan Ödman made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 87th match minute, FC NagelBitarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Cavallaro to maneuver through the defense. Piotr Giejda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Novaes in the 89th minute of play.
