The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ezequiel Azeari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusztáv Bács in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Johans in the 5th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Gong Ying Zheng successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, VC zoetwater's Robert Wells got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gong Ying Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Modestio in the 12th minute. Hipolito Johans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gong Ying Zheng came out and tried to block the shot, but Hipolito Johans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Gong Ying Zheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Birila, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Silvestre Roland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 26th minute of play. Gong Ying Zheng made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Leonides Modestio sent off a good shot on target. Ezequiel Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Dumont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Johans in the 39th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gusztáv Bács received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ezequiel Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Bernardo Sharkin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC zoetwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Birila made a kick off. Ezequiel Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Sharkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When VC zoetwater's Gusztáv Bács in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 64th minute Hipolito Johans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Birila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gong Ying Zheng was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. A collision led to VC zoetwater getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bo Bo hit a great ball. The supporters of Papillon AC booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Bo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gong Ying Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Modestio in the 72nd minute of the match. Papillon AC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Birila in the 73rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Timoteo Herrera managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 76th minute, Benedicto Pacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ezequiel Azeari managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when VC zoetwater's Bernardo Sharkin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Birila in the 79th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Gustavo Birila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papillon AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Jerano in the 91st minute of play.
