In the 16th minute, Lucca F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sebastião Mendonça fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 18 minutes into the game, Sipo EC's Flávio Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tarcisio Mattos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Oséias Gerber spun around in front of the goal 21 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Lucca F.C's goal. Tarcisio Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Gerber in the 24th minute of play. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Domingues in the 34th minute of play. Tarcisio Mattos made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sebastião Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Lucca F.C's goalkeeper Tarcisio Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Bykowski. Tarcisio Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Gerber in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Adelino Domingues made the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute of the match, Alessandro Cardoso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carroll Hathaway was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 70th minute Oséias Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Lucca F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Armando Prado fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sipo EC's protests and gave Armando Prado a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Prado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Lucca F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Mendonça came free, but Tarcisio Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lucca F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
