After 20 played minutes PKS Marymont Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Edžus Ropas. 21 minutes into the match, PKS Marymont Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Bouzat came free, but Gustaw Golembiewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Téo Queiroz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustave Souchu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Renan Bouzat came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the R.C. Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Bouzat couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, PKS Marymont Warszawa's Gustave Souchu threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michal Gerlach, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Song Xing Le fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaw Golembiewski having to interfere. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when PKS Marymont Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edžus Ropas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd match minute, PKS Marymont Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Czeberowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Renan Bouzat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustaw Golembiewski skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Golembiewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, PKS Marymont Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Cyrille Melon came free, but Gustaw Golembiewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PKS Marymont Warszawa getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. John Guidetti hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Gerlach to make the kick off. Michal Gerlach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, PKS Marymont Warszawa's Gustaw Golembiewski got control of the ball when Mihail Toader tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaw Golembiewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renan Bouzat in the 57th minute. Gustaw Golembiewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Bouzat, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Edžus Ropas hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, PKS Marymont Warszawa's Hıdır Raci got a free kick in the 81st minute. PKS Marymont Warszawa's Lucjan Huchro was substituted for Edžus Ropas. In the 82nd match minute, PKS Marymont Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hıdır Raci to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprien Auguste in the 89th minute of play forced PKS Marymont Warszawa's goalkeeper Gustaw Golembiewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Gustaw Golembiewski managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The PKS Marymont Warszawa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R.C. Marseille were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
