The audience was convinced that Joakim Häll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingo Colsa was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Domingo Colsa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Orbán in the 37th minute of play forced FC Tarragona 2006's goalkeeper Domingo Colsa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Morientes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robin Olsen. That made the score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Djurgården Sthlm's zone, Fernando Morientes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Olsen came out of the goal and Fernando Morientes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Morientes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Tarragona 2006's Fernando Morientes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. FC Tarragona 2006's Domingo Colsa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaya Österberg in the 55th minute of play. Domingo Colsa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Orbán, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Aranguiz Cacheres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aranguiz Cacheres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Robin Olsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Olsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ansu Fatić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Djurgården Sthlm's Leon Topolski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lamine Jamal, made in the 80th minute of the game. Domingo Colsa made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Kaloyan Dimovski sent off a good shot on target. Kaya Österberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ansu Fatić scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Olsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ansu Fatić managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tarragona 2006's supporters rose to their feet, but Ansu Fatić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Olsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robin Olsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ansu Fatić in the 92nd minute of play.
