In the 6th minute, Luis Bladi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Feliciano Manrique. The goal made the score 1-1. Christer Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Morientes in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Luis Bladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Fernando Morientes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Tarragona 2006 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Luis Bladi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Feliciano Manrique made a huge save. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Fernando Morientes sped through Annedal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christer Olsson. Fernando Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christer Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Morientes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Annedal FC made a substitution. Jan Mossberg replaced Tage Bålström. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Bladi was the one to do the kick off. Christer Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Morientes in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Fernando Morientes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Bladi in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Manrique prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Annedal FC booed when FC Tarragona 2006 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frodo Dean didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, FC Tarragona 2006 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frodo Dean to maneuver through the defense. Luis Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Feliciano Manrique made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bladi in the 66th minute of play. Luis Bladi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliciano Manrique having to make a save. In the 70th minute Luis Bladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Manrique saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Alberto Nóbrega threw the ball into play from the sideline. Annedal FC's Isidoro Vale quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bladi in the 74th minute of play forced FC Tarragona 2006's goalkeeper Feliciano Manrique to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ansu Fatić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Annedal FC's Alfred Ödmann was substituted for Billy Harman. FC Tarragona 2006's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frutos Bouzon in the 85th minute. Christer Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ansu Fatić, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Ansu Fatić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christer Olsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-6. In the 94th minute, Lamine Jamal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Tarragona 2006's Feliciano Manrique played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Bladi in the 95th minute of play. After some careless play in the Annedal FC defense, Ansu Fatić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Olsson. The Annedal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Olsson should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Tarragona 2006 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
