With his leg Yuriy Babushkin managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yuriy Babushkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes, Herminio Florinio made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herminio Florinio in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuriy Babushkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14thth minute of the game Herminio Florinio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Yuriy Babushkin managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin got control of the ball when Herminio Florinio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 60th minute, Herminio Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Salvador Iztal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustavo Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Yuriy Babushkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Florinio in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Florinio in the 67th minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Yuriy Babushkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Viscarra to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match Club Deportivo Águila got a corner. Deportivo Messina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Velis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Club Deportivo Águila's Angel Velis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yuriy Babushkin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Deportivo Messina's Teodosio Ascencio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dário Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Yuriy Babushkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
