In the 19th minute, Roy Makaay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Leroy Parkinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwo Domarecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Makaay in the 21st minute of play. Iwo Domarecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 24th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Martins during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Makaay got free with Iwo Domarecki in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Dumitrescu in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Jairo de Azevedo got a free kick in the 39th minute. A collision led to Spartan FC Mogilany getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Leroy Parkinson hit a great ball. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Dumitrescu in the 44th minute of the match. Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Luís Paulo Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaverde Celeste Clube's protests and gave Luís Paulo Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Spartan FC Mogilany were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Makaay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liam Hähners short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Nenko Reza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iwo Domarecki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Makaay went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Roy Makaay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Domarecki having to interfere. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Dumitrescu in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Martins got free with Nenko Reza in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Spartan FC Mogilany's Przemyslaw Bronder was substituted for Diogo Martins. 78 minutes into the game, Ilie Dumitrescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nenko Reza. Ilie Dumitrescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Roy Makaay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iwo Domarecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo de Azevedo in the 84th minute of play forced Spartan FC Mogilany's goalkeeper Iwo Domarecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Luís Paulo Carneiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leroy Parkinson, made in the 88th minute of the game. Spartan FC Mogilany's Iwo Domarecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guo Ao to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes Spartan FC Mogilany got a freekick which was hit by Liam Hähner. In the 95th minute Roy Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Domarecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Spartan FC Mogilany could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villaverde Celeste Clube throughout the match.
