After a rather tough play, Diamonds FC's Sebastião Castro got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Diamonds FC's goal looked a bit too open when Konstanty Smolarek came free, but Baltazar Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Konstanty Smolarek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastião Castro's late challenge caught a Spartan FC Mogilany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Baltazar Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Jarbas Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Iwo Domarecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilie Dumitrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Diniz having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Konstanty Smolarek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baltazar Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstanty Smolarek in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Spartan FC Mogilany's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Machado came free, but Iwo Domarecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstanty Smolarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstanty Smolarek in the 64th minute of play. Baltazar Diniz came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Spartan FC Mogilany's Konstanty Smolarek. But to his dismay, Konstanty Smolarek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of Diamonds FC booed when Spartan FC Mogilany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Dumitrescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spartan FC Mogilany made a substitution. Przemyslaw Bronder replaced Diogo Martins. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Ilie Dumitrescu sped through Diamonds FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baltazar Diniz. Spartan FC Mogilany's Wojciech Skaradowski was substituted for Konstanty Smolarek. In the 82nd match minute, Spartan FC Mogilany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Ulici to maneuver through the defense. Eugênio Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Iwo Domarecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Spartan FC Mogilany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksymilian Grondzki to maneuver through the defense. Eugênio Custódio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Iwo Domarecki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diamonds FC. Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Diamonds FC from getting a goal against them. Spartan FC Mogilany played a much better game than Diamonds FC and deserved their victory. The Diamonds FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
