The referee ignored Haymakers FC's protests and gave Roger Pil a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Haymakers FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Roger Pil hit a great ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Donato Goiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Ciro Martelli got a free kick in the 26th minute. Celso de Carvalho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Johannes Kvarnström. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Haymakers FC's goalkeeper Robin Olsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rafael Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Goiz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Donato Goiz struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Robin Olsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
