With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Bitze in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Rosio saved Los once leones from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franciszek Wojtkiewicz got free with Ian Nogueira in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Los once leones's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guaberto Guillerme in the 33rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Guaberto Guillerme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ian Nogueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Justino Rosio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pontus Ligers went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Franciszek Wojtkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ian Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franciszek Wojtkiewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. 0-2 became the score in the 41st minute when Pontus Ligers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Ziya Ruhittin in the 45th minute of play forced Los once leones's goalkeeper Justino Rosio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Sindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Nogueira having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
