The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bahía é Carnaval. With an all-out effort, Los once leones's Mickael Wuyts threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anibal Chayo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Ferran to maneuver through the defense. In the 12thth minute of the game Luis Iban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los once leones's Dadá Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dadá Martinez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Iban's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Bahía é Carnaval's Mickael Wuyts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Bahía é Carnaval from getting a goal against them. Bahía é Carnaval's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Mateo Remigio scored to the left of an out of position Mickael Wuyts, making the score, 1-0. Los once leones's Dadá Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Iban in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Anibal Chayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mickael Wuyts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dadá Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Lucado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Remigio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Ferran during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Marciano Ferran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los once leones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Txerran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dadá Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Iban in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Astor Brais got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute Mateo Remigio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickael Wuyts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickael Wuyts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Los once leones's zone, Marciano Ferran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dadá Martinez came out of the goal and Marciano Ferran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cayetano Luix hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
