The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Dabi in the 3rd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yunus Civan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Alberg came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trabzonspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodosio Ucedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Reyes F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Ceferino Heli was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Fernando Isusko was a little too slow when Alejo Otsando got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Yunus Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Alberg in the 16th minute of play. Alejo Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Isusko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Otsando ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Reyes F.C.'s Fernando Isusko got control of the ball when Alejo Otsando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Otsando to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Celedonio Rioja shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yunus Civan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernando Isusko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Otsando in the 25th minute. Yunus Civan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Isidor in the 26th minute of the match. Fernando Isusko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alejo Otsando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. 36 minutes in the game Natalio Gurutz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bonifacio Tartalo. With his leg Fernando Isusko managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alejo Otsando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Isusko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Natalio Gurutz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Trabzonspor's Guter Acosta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

Alejo Otsando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Alejo Otsando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Aristides Dabi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yunus Civan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yılmaz Avcu in the 92nd minute of play forced Reyes F.C.'s goalkeeper Fernando Isusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Trabzonspor were awarded a corner. Bedrettin Özaktuğ went to the cornerflag to take it. Guter Acosta was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Reyes F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Trabzonspor.
