Silvano Errapel started the match with the kick off. The supporters of RÖK booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Nørlinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 3 played minutes Marcinho Brasil shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for SK Gullegem's Urmas Känsäkangas to catch but Marcinho Brasil was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Silvano Errapel took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urmas Känsäkangas. Urmas Känsäkangas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Urmas Känsäkangas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Errapel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Xavier Goossens kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvano Errapel in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urmas Känsäkangas saved SK Gullegem from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Silvano Errapel put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Urmas Känsäkangas. If Tjark Heerdt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RÖK's Carlos Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Goossens in the 32nd minute of play. SK Gullegem were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after RÖK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Louis Jamieson took the corner. The corner led to SK Gullegem's Jacky Jamieson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Jamieson in the 44th minute of play forced RÖK's goalkeeper Carlos Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xavier Goossens was the one to do the kick off. Urmas Känsäkangas came out of the goal and David Chucho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SK Gullegem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tjark Heerdt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. RÖK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
