Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Percival started the match with the kick off. Abdulkadir Eraslan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Percival's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Dušan Ančic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Ronaldo Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dušan Ančic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético de Newell's Spike Foley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdulkadir Eraslan. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Dušan Ančic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 14th minute of the match. Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Ančic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vince Haywood made in the 22nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pastor Eufemio. 23 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Percival came free, but Abdulkadir Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdulkadir Eraslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Percival in the 25th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Arbi Newell. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 30th minute of play. Ronaldo Fenomeno took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dušan Ančic. Dušan Ančic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan got control of the ball when Spike Foley tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Ančic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdulkadir Eraslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Eufemio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Fenomeno was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Ronaldo Fenomeno from a close distance when the talented Dušan Ančic managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético de Newell's players were relieved. In the 57th match minute, Miau Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio I to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Sebastian Percival shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Fenomeno got free with Dušan Ančic in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to Miau Stars's Zeca Lima getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 65th minute Spike Foley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdulkadir Eraslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devon Howson in the 67th minute of play. Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devon Howson in the 70th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Howson came free, but Abdulkadir Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dušan Ančic was a little too slow when Ronaldo Fenomeno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-2. Miau Stars's Wim Zuidam was substituted for Arlindo Queiroz. Miau Stars made a substitution. Pedrinho Fahlmann replaced Ronaldo Fenomeno. In the 76th minute, Miau Stars's Zeca Lima ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dušan Ančic. Dušan Ančic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Foley in the 80th minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Abdulkadir Eraslan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Devon Howson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedrinho Fahlmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Fahlmann.
