Nilmar Eger started the match with the kick off. Mateo Santana made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Eusébio Barros sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Inter de Munique getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jailson da Silva hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, one of Duendes Verdes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofilo Gipuzkoa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrício Simões saved Inter de Munique from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Teofilo Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrício Simões was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Nilmar Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mateo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilmar Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. Nilmar Eger succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Eusébio Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateo Santana came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusébio Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Duendes Verdes's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Eger came free, but Mateo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eusébio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Gipuzkoa to make the kick off. Eusébio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mateo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Inter de Munique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Inter de Munique's Eusébio Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateo Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Nilmar Eger took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Santana. Mateo Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Mateo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Eusébio Barros came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Inter de Munique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Barros couldn't finish the play. The corner led to Inter de Munique's Reinaldo Damião getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Eusébio Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, Inter de Munique's Andoni Donadoni made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusébio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mateo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Gipuzkoa in the 95th minute of play. Mateo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Inter de Munique were the better team. Inter de Munique's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
