Fabrício Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 6th minute Tobias Siggman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mamadou Clermont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Simões having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Munique's zone, Mamadou Clermont stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Simões came out of the goal and Mamadou Clermont tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrício Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Siggman in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, corsaire nantais's goalkeeper Eliseu do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renaud Verdonckt. After a rather tough play, Inter de Munique's Vítor Mota got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tobias Siggman managed to get in a good position for a shot. corsaire nantais's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Siggman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Barros got free with Eliseu do Valle in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Siggman in the 28th minute of play forced Inter de Munique's goalkeeper Fabrício Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Siggman in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match, Eusébio Barros got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliseu do Valle was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 42 minutes into the game, corsaire nantais's Tobias Siggman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrício Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 45th minute, Renaud Verdonckt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Eger to make the kick off. Eliseu do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Barros in the 53rd minute of the match. corsaire nantais's Mamadou Clermont got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renaud Verdonckt, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Munique from getting a goal against them. Fabrício Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Siggman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Siggman in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, corsaire nantais's Chu Fan Qiang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. corsaire nantais's Désiré Auriol was substituted for Clément Dupouy. In the 80th minute Inter de Munique were awarded a corner. Eusébio Barros went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Eusébio Barros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eliseu do Valle quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Barros in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseu do Valle saved corsaire nantais from getting behind. After 88 played minutes Inter de Munique got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Mota. The crowd rose to their feet as Tobias Siggman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabrício Simões. That made the score 0-4 in the 90 minute of play. Eliseu do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Donadoni in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. corsaire nantais had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
