An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Pernambucano in the 3rd minute of play forced Dutch Rebels's goalkeeper Adam Vermeiren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fernando Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Leandro Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrézinho Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Vranckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Dutch Rebels's goalkeeper Adam Vermeiren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agostinho Eger. After 22 minutes, Constant De Weyngaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dutch Rebels and the AMERICANO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute of the match Betão Paes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adam Vermeiren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of AMERICANO F.C. booed when Dutch Rebels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constant De Weyngaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Eger got free with Adam Vermeiren in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AMERICANO F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Betão Paes in the 30th minute. A nice corner shot did that Betão Paes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adam Vermeiren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andrézinho Neiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yens Iansens's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Andrézinho Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Cappelsmans in the 35th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Adam Vermeiren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando Pernambucano in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Vermeiren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adolf Cappelsmans's late challenge caught a AMERICANO F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolf Cappelsmans helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dutch Rebels getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Adolf Cappelsmans hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Pernambucano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adam Vermeiren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Pernambucano in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, Dutch Rebels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaaf Vranckx to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Dutch Rebels getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Adolf Cappelsmans hit a great ball. Oséas Rocha was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of AMERICANO F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dutch Rebels:s goal. The goalkeeper, Andrézinho Neiva, was totally fooled by Dutch Rebels's Refael Standaerts, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 73rd minute Nico da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Vermeiren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Vermeiren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Constant De Weyngaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Vermeiren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico da Costa went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. AMERICANO F.C.'s Edgard Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luiz Fernando Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Luiz Fernando Pernambucano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Vermeiren was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. A hard shot 89 in the game by Yens Iansens from a close distance when the talented Andrézinho Neiva managed to make a qualified save. AMERICANO F.C.'s players were relieved. Andrézinho Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge De Kerpel in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that AMERICANO F.C. were the better team. AMERICANO F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
