In the 3rd minute, Thorvald Egfjord left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brujas KV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 6th minute, Hugo Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brujas KV booed when Spartans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Dagorret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldas Strazdas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rios in the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas got control of the ball when Oscar Costermans tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Nikola in the 17th minute of play forced Spartans FC's goalkeeper Haroldas Strazdas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Nikola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haroldas Strazdas, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulgencio Nikola got free with Haroldas Strazdas in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Hugo Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Spartans FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Rios came free, but Haroldas Strazdas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Hugo Guerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Adolfo Grau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Spartans FC from getting a goal against them. Hugo Guerra struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Adolfo Grau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spartans FC. Brujas KV's Adolfo Grau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Guerra in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Artemio Izaguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Spartans FC's goalkeeper Haroldas Strazdas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Nikola. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Brujas KV made a substitution. Zachary Pliszka replaced Fulgencio Nikola. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Guerra was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Spartans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zachary Pliszka came free, but Haroldas Strazdas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brujas KV's Benjamin Olentzaro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Guerra in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Grau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Spartans FC's Delmiro Makaus to fire away a dangerous shot which Adolfo Grau despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Adolfo Grau made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Hugo Guerra sent off a good shot on target. After 67 minutes Brujas KV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amado Dagorret who took care of the corner kick. Spartans FC's Amado Dagorret was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adolfo Grau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot 84 in the game by Hugo Guerra from a close distance when the talented Adolfo Grau managed to make a qualified save. Brujas KV's players were relieved. 88 minutes into the game, Brujas KV's Kaineus Giannacopulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haroldas Strazdas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Zachary Pliszka kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Brujas KV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Hugo Guerra scored to the left of an out of position Adolfo Grau, making the score, 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brujas KV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spartans FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
