The ball had pretty good speed, but Egil Anselius firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Arnaldo Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Gunnah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Rolado couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sturdy Eggplant FC's zone, Arif Memduh Teber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 梅骏棋 came out of the goal and Arif Memduh Teber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 于誉兴 struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Egil Anselius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturdy Eggplant FC. 唐迅远 scored 2-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egil Anselius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the game, Sturdy Eggplant FC's 庞青傲 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egil Anselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 30 played minutes Gunnah FC got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Ros. 庞青傲 took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egil Anselius. Egil Anselius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Arif Memduh Teber might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 梅骏棋. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Memduh Teber ran back to his position shaking his head. 蒋奕益 hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Arnaldo Rolado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 唐迅远 to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Memduh Teber in the 51st minute of play forced Sturdy Eggplant FC's goalkeeper 梅骏棋 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Sturdy Eggplant FC's goalkeeper 梅骏棋 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arif Memduh Teber.
