In the 45th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lionel-Andrés Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Ferran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sliema Dragons FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sliema Dragons FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
