Victory F.C.'s Søren Malman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Victory F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute of the match, Ulises Ixidor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Søren Malman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 7 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Søren Malman. Søren Malman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baran Erozan in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Baran Erozan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baran Erozan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Søren Malman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Søren Malman was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Søren Malman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leszek Cupial in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Søren Malman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sliema Dragons FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baran Erozan in the 21st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Pepe Ferreira heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mike Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Skoubo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Søren Malman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Søren Malman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Sliema Dragons FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Victory F.C.:s goal. Mike Axisa had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Henrik Lauritsen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Søren Malman was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Sliema Dragons FC's Mike Axisa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Skoubo in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Skoubo came free, but Mike Axisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sliema Dragons FC's Søren Malman threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kim Bolas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leszek Cupial recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Baran Erozan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Victory F.C.'s goalkeeper Søren Malman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sliema Dragons FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baran Erozan in the 47th minute. The corner led Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan to fire away a dangerous shot which Søren Malman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The wind increased when Claus Skoubo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 52nd minute of play forced Victory F.C.'s goalkeeper Søren Malman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Victory F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Bill Hadders's late challenge caught a Sliema Dragons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Hadders helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Victory F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bill Hadders hit a great ball. Giovanni Demicoli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Søren Malman. Victory F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Søren Malman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Victory F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Cupial came free, but Søren Malman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Victory F.C. booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Illés didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sliema Dragons FC's Selman Onkal was substituted for Ulises Ixidor. After 62 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Gábor Illés. In the 65th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Søren Malman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Skoubo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute Claus Skoubo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dejan Cassar scored 4-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Søren Malman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
