With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléber Catarinense in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Berriotxoa saved Manchester Quijano from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Catarinense got free with Albino Berriotxoa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrício Pizarro charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester Quijano's zone, Dan Rüdy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Sport Club Abrilense booed when Manchester Quijano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loren Eaton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cléber Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Albino Berriotxoa made a huge save. German Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Albino Berriotxoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléber Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Manchester Quijano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Berriotxoa should have stopped the shot. Sport Club Abrilense made a substitution. Pablo Berriotxoa replaced Mariano Enol. For all the effort they put into the match, the Manchester Quijano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sport Club Abrilense.
