The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 14 minutes into the game, one of Barça Salvadoreño FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Quiroga F.C.. Elivélton Cunha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paradorn Todor. 0-1. Barça Salvadoreño FC's Paradorn Todor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Cunha in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pate Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quiroga F.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Edinho Terra hit a great ball. When Amauri Veiga got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Paradorn Todor was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Quiroga F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jimeno Feliz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rudi Bremke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Dadá Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 32nd match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pate Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. Quiroga F.C.'s Dadá Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Quiroga F.C. from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Edinho Terra hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Dadá Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jimeno Feliz went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Dadá Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Feliz in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Quiroga F.C. defense, Rudi Bremke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dadá Massa. The Quiroga F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dadá Massa should have stopped the shot. Urdaspal Monterros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dadá Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barça Salvadoreño FC's Tiro Piedra was substituted for Jimeno Feliz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odir Bautista in the 70th minute of play forced Quiroga F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadá Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
