In the 9th match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stathis Konstantakis to maneuver through the defense. When Afyon İdman Yurdu's Oswaldo Dionísio in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kamer Uram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Elton John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Semi Tümerdem hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Afyon İdman Yurdu's Semavi Özguven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Afyon İdman Yurdu from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Dionísio in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elton John saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cheeky Nuts United's zone, Oswaldo Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elton John came out of the goal and Oswaldo Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Dionísio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elton John was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute Oswaldo Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Ramberg in the 39th minute of play forced Afyon İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Semavi Özguven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cheeky Nuts United's zone, Mehmet Fatih Yalım stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elton John came out of the goal and Mehmet Fatih Yalım tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Fatih Yalım in the 43rd minute of play forced Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Elton John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Oswaldo Dionísio made a precise shot to the right of Elton John. Cheeky Nuts United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Afyon İdman Yurdu were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon-Erik Vedøy made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Alf Austad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semavi Özguven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gazanfer Hiçsönmez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Gazanfer Hiçsönmez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Semavi Özguven came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Cheeky Nuts United's Sebastian Ramberg. But to his dismay, Sebastian Ramberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Oswaldo Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Elton John made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Oswaldo Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Afyon İdman Yurdu's Oswaldo Dionísio in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elton John was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Oswaldo Dionísio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oswaldo Dionísio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 76th minute, Afyon İdman Yurdu's Kamer Uram dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Kamer Uram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afyon İdman Yurdu's Ahmet Ozan Kaptan was substituted for Jakub Gonsiewski. Afyon İdman Yurdu's Hüsamettin Refi was substituted for Mehmet Fatih Yalım. Afyon İdman Yurdu's Semavi Özguven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 85th minute of play. Oswaldo Dionísio in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elton John, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oswaldo Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Elton John made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Afyon İdman Yurdu's Levent Kılıc seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Levent Kılıc the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Afyon İdman Yurdu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Levent Kılıc had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Afyon İdman Yurdu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
