Cesario Roma made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Mugurel Balaeț sent off a good shot on target. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Txaran in the 17th minute of play. Edelmiro Beremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Leonardo Lane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BFC 1982's Cesario Roma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute Leonardo Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesario Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesario Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Lane in the 28th minute of play. When Zamalek FC's Leonardo Lane in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rhys Dimmock should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mugurel Balaeț to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Lane in the 51st minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Cesario Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesario Roma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Lane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Leonardo Lane notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of BFC 1982's Cesario Roma. Cesario Roma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zamalek FC had won after a very even match.
