If Rony Rüşti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Custódio came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Tasso FC's Waldir Urbano. But to his dismay, Waldir Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute of the match Tasso FC got a corner. Leões do Sul 53's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Sequeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Miguel Sequeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leões do Sul 53's Leandro Custódio did a great save. Silverio Corderun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Žygimantas Ivaška made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tasso FC's Caio Mendes. Leandro Custódio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldir Urbano went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiano Barreto got free with Silverio Corderun in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Leandro Custódio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Rony Rüşti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Waldir Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Britto in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes Tasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Urbano. Christiano Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir Urbano made a kick off. With a little luck, Leões do Sul 53's Leandro Custódio got control of the ball when Severi Nybacka tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Christiano Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Britto to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Leões do Sul 53's Leandro Custódio got control of the ball when Waldir Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leões do Sul 53's Leandro Custódio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Leões do Sul 53 from getting a goal against them. Waldir Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. Waldir Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Custódio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Leandro Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Urbano in the 77th minute of play. Tasso FC's Diego Antunes was substituted for Mihail Dărăscu. Tasso FC made a substitution. Juca Tasso replaced Miguel Sequeira. The goalkeeper, Leandro Custódio, was totally fooled by Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Raúl Motta hit a great ball. Normando Fiúza might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Normando Fiúza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute Christiano Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Normando Fiúza might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Normando Fiúza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Normando Fiúza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Normando Fiúza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tasso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Normando Fiúza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Leões do Sul 53 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tasso FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tasso FC.
