After 21 played minutes Smiddy Celts got a freekick which was hit by Connor Murdoson. 21 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Duldurescu came free, but Jesse McJames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Graeme Gordon sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitalij Káňa in the 28th minute of play forced Smiddy Celts's goalkeeper Jesse McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goal looked a bit too open when Vitalij Káňa came free, but Jesse McJames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
