Chico Vidales scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Avgustin Yochev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Avgustin Yochev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chico Vidales's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Aleko Kamberski charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aleko Kamberski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Laziali's Aleko Kamberski got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosta Kúnov in the 21st minute of play forced Nàstic de Tarragona's goalkeeper Sixto Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nàstic de Tarragona's Sixto Fraco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerasim Nachov in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Nàstic de Tarragona's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Rix came free, but Sixto Fraco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Vidales received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Avgustin Yochev was a little too slow when Chico Vidales got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 35th minute of the match Nàstic de Tarragona got a corner. Laziali's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chico Vidales ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Chico Vidales almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Laziali's Avgustin Yochev did a great save. Chico Vidaless short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Avgustin Yochev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute Gerasim Nachov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Fraco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerasim Nachov was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Laziali defense, Chico Vidales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Avgustin Yochev. The Laziali fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Avgustin Yochev should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute, Olívio Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nàstic de Tarragona made a substitution. Joan Oriol replaced Abdülhak Savgat. After a rather tough play, Nàstic de Tarragona's Olívio Negri got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Mino Font had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sixto Fraco made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Velichko Shindarov sent off a good shot on target. Hermes Castanheira kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Nàstic de Tarragona's Chico Vidales got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nàstic de Tarragona's Iñaki Portillo was substituted for Chico Vidales. 75 minutes into the game, Bobi Batov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laziali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nàstic de Tarragona the free kick. Iñaki Portillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avgustin Yochev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
