With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Villarreal in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Acevedo saved San Lorenzo from getting behind. After 12 minutes San Lorenzo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Javier Villarreal who took care of the corner kick. Filippo Gigli might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Acevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filippo Gigli ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Gigli came free, but Gregorio Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Filippo Gigli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Squadra de Pippe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javier Villarreal in the 24th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's Filippo Gigli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregorio Acevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's Federico Chan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Mazzone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. San Lorenzo's Gregorio Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Gigli in the 44th minute of play. Filippo Gigli took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregorio Acevedo. Gregorio Acevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximino Mazuste to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Javier Villarreal. Gregorio Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Gigli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Gigli scored 0-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Acevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Andrea Di Carlo replaced Filippo Gigli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Di Carlo in the 62nd minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Gregorio Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Lorenzo's Gregorio Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Di Carlo in the 73rd minute of play. Andrea Di Carlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Acevedo having to interfere. Andrea Di Carlo scored 0-5 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Acevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. San Lorenzo's Gregorio Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Villarreal in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Squadra de Pippe booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Panfilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Javier Villarreal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Tiberiu Balint got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Javier Villarreal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gregorio Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrea Di Carlo got free with Gregorio Acevedo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonio Cabrini lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Bruno Mazzone went to the wrong direction when Maximino Mazuste was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When the final whistle sounded Squadra de Pippe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than San Lorenzo.
