Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddy Valentine started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Tadici. Eduardo Pereyra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Valentine in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Valentine came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by New York Red Bulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Jaunti was slow to take the kick. During this time Yala's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Yala's Ramon Abarca to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Pereyra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Valentine in the 16th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Balint in the 19th minute of the match. Marian Balint fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Curcio having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Tadici during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yala booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Tadici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gogo Chabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Eduardo Pereyra made a huge save. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benni Farbøl in the 27th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Valentine kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduardo Pereyra. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Encescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eduardo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Valentine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gogo Chabier scored 2-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Pereyra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nazım Taci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maxim Tadici got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 54th minute, Maxim Tadici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Benni Farbøl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Ramon Abarca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Pereyra skillfully saved the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Yala's Gogo Chabier made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Pereyra was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Bizen in the 64th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salih Şahsuvaroğlu hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nazım Taci hit a great ball. After 71 minutes New York Red Bulls's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Jaunti who took care of the corner kick. Yala's Alberto Jaunti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eduardo Pereyra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eduardo Pereyra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Chabier's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 79 minutes of play, Yala's Freddy Valentine made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Pereyra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emanuel Encescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Curcio having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Chabier in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Pereyra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Feo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Yala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
