Nuno do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. John Forsberg hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Mehmet Çağrı Eraslan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Mehmet Çağrı Eraslan a yellow card for diving instead. Arsenal FC:s Songur Yoran showed great skill when he stopped Nuno do Nascimento:s penalty. Songur Yoran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno do Nascimento went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. William Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Löfgren in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Alfredo Arcos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Songur Yoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Songur Yoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Castro came free, but Songur Yoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno do Nascimento in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Songur Yoran saved Arsenal FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Nuno do Nascimento sped through Arsenal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Songur Yoran. Songur Yoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Songur Yoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grady Esposito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Luisinho Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Songur Yoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Löfgren in the 39th minute of play forced Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper William Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vila Mascote FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Stefan Hodyl scored to the left of an out of position William Rosa, making the score, 1-2. In the 44th minute Nuno do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Songur Yoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes, Edvard Pihl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal FC and the Vila Mascote FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edvard Pihl hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno do Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Magno Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno do Nascimento got free with Songur Yoran in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. William Rosa came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal FC's Stefan Hodyl. But to his dismay, Stefan Hodyl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Hodyl in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Löfgren. After 63 minutes, Nuno do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Mascote FC and the Arsenal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. José de Mendonça hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by José de Mendonça. 76 minutes into the game, Matthias Löfgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. William Rosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. William Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Hodyl's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vila Mascote FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl-Åke Stolpe was slow to take the kick. During this time Arsenal FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Arsenal FC's Delmar Jerardo to fire away a dangerous shot which William Rosa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Adolfo Moreno. When the referee ended the match the Arsenal FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
