A sloppy throw-in by Ferdinand Mendy in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kings's Kristupas Šimkūnas. With his leg Sebastian Titz managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Kings's Raido Pulver fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 8 minutes into the match, Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Rothe came free, but Haşim Batüralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Rothe in the 10th minute of play forced Kings's goalkeeper Haşim Batüralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes Kings's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdinand Mendy who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sydney FC's corner Angelo Milanese fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Haşim Batüralp quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Raido Pulver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Raido Pulver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Titz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raido Pulver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Titz having to interfere. In the 19th minute Emanuel Ogășanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haşim Batüralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haşim Batüralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy Rothe in the 21st minute of the match. Luís Figo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Titz having to make a save. Raido Pulver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sebastian Titz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Ludwig Hanstein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sydney FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Ogășanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Milanese came free, but Haşim Batüralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ferdinand Mendy in the 54th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ferdinand Mendy got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Haşim Batüralp quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kings's Haşim Batüralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Rothe in the 55th minute of play. Haşim Batüralp was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by August Gieß. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kings's attentive Håkon Bjernemose managed to snatch the ball when August Gieß made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Emanuel Ogășanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haşim Batüralp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Ludwig Hanstein came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sydney FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludwig Hanstein couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Angelo Milanese made a precise shot to the right of Haşim Batüralp. Kings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Haşim Batüralp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Milanese in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Rothe in the 84th minute of play forced Kings's goalkeeper Haşim Batüralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Rothe came free, but Haşim Batüralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raido Pulver, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
