Haşim Batüralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lyudmil Gogev in the 15th minute of play. When Urki Regalado came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the FC LEVSKI ОК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urki Regalado couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urki Regalado in the 21st minute of play forced Kings's goalkeeper Haşim Batüralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urki Regalado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Haşim Batüralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC LEVSKI ОК's Lyudmil Gogev quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edgaras Jankauskas, made in the 26th minute of the game. Kings's attentive Kristupas Šimkūnas managed to snatch the ball when John Terry made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Kings's Haşim Batüralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urki Regalado in the 34th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Taavetti Mattila showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC LEVSKI ОК's Lyudmil Gogev got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Victorino Marko fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kings's protests and gave Victorino Marko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Victorino Marko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Kings made a substitution. Luís Figo replaced Rocco Ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raido Pulver to make the kick off. Kings were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
