Cristobal Tabby came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gwidon Juchno could save by the left post. In the 22nd minute Florencio Herbella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Juchno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florão da América's Gwidon Juchno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Herbella in the 27th minute of play. Florão da América's Gwidon Juchno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Florão da América from getting a goal against them. Florão da América's Gwidon Juchno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Herbella in the 35th minute of play. Florencio Herbella had several of the Florão da América's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Gwidon Juchno as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Florão da América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos de Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. Florão da América's attentive Agostinho Tavares managed to snatch the ball when Sindo Enterria made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Orlin Hinojosa replaced Lucas Sardaneta. Atletico Maturrango's Leonides Ybarbo was substituted for Florencio Herbella. Gwidon Juchno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Ybarbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Atletico Maturrango's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
