The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when Ceilândia Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Bertran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Leszek Podwojski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adhemar Souto, 2-0. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Macedo in the 19th minute of play. Adhemar Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adhemar Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adhemar Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Tomiczek in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Tomiczek in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar Souto saved Ceilândia Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 41st minute Legia Warszawa were awarded a corner. Qiu Yang went to the cornerflag to take it. 42 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's Axel Lindberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adhemar Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Ceilândia Futebol Clube's Adhemar Souto got control of the ball when Leszek Podwojski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute, Emiliano Bertran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qiu Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Adhemar Souto made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leszek Podwojski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ceilândia Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Lindberg came free, but Adhemar Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adhemar Souto came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Legia Warszawa's Karol Tomiczek. But to his dismay, Karol Tomiczek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ceilândia Futebol Clube's Adhemar Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 57th minute of play. Gil Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Ceilândia Futebol Clube made a substitution. Nildo Paes replaced Róbson Almeida. In the 60th minute, Qiu Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Adhemar Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 63rd minute of the match. Karol Tomiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 minutes of play, Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adhemar Souto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd match minute, Legia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karol Tomiczek to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Pinheiro came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Paes in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Claudinho Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Ceilândia Futebol Clube defense, Karol Tomiczek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Souto. The Ceilândia Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Souto should have stopped the shot. Adhemar Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 88th minute of play. Leszek Podwojski took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adhemar Souto. Adhemar Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Legia Warszawa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
