Saiko FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mugur Timofte ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carpathian Wolves's Marcel Tirulescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zé Sabóia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 22 played minutes Carpathian Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Pisarczyk. When Josué Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Saiko FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Zé Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Gonsiewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Ionițoiu in the 32nd minute of the match. Zé Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Urderean, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Ignacy Gonsiewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Ionițoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Zé Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacy Gonsiewski in the 51st minute. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Urderean in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Mateus Catarinense got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute Gabriel Bati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Hârlău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Gonsiewski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Zé Sabóia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mateus Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gabriel Bati hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maxim Urderean hit a great ball. When Mihnea Ionițoiu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Carpathian Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihnea Ionițoiu couldn't finish the play. Mihnea Ionițoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Zé Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Trăistaru came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacy Gonsiewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Zé Sabóia made a huge save. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia got control of the ball when Maxim Urderean tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacy Gonsiewski got free with Zé Sabóia in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 87 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Catarinense. Jairo Trancoso's late challenge caught a Carpathian Wolves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Saiko FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jairo Trancoso hit a great ball. Mugur Timofte, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Ionițoiu in the 94th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Zé Sabóia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the final whistle sounded Carpathian Wolves left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Saiko FC.
