Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jef Meyer started the match with the kick off. Basarab Irod could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Marnix de Jaeger made a huge save. When Dumitru Pantelimon came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Academia Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Pantelimon couldn't finish the play. Marnix de Jaeger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Basarab Irod ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marnix de Jaeger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Peter Kremer charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Kremer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Academia Rio made a substitution. Valeriu Ilinca replaced Alex Nicolae. Peter Kremer hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Academia Rio's Basarab Irod in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Springplank FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marnix de Jaeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Giubelean in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Basarab Irod made a precise shot to the right of Marnix de Jaeger. Springplank FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a little luck, Springplank FC's Marnix de Jaeger got control of the ball when Basarab Irod tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marin Giubelean might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marnix de Jaeger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Giubelean ran back to his position shaking his head. Academia Rio's Marin Giubelean was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Marnix de Jaeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Marin Giubelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marnix de Jaeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Marin Giubelean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marnix de Jaeger was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 42nd minute, Basarab Irod made a precise shot to the right of Marnix de Jaeger. Springplank FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorel Nedelciu to make the kick off. Dorel Nedelciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Marnix de Jaeger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sergiu Coșeriu came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Academia Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergiu Coșeriu couldn't finish the play. Marnix de Jaeger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorel Nedelciu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Marnix de Jaeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Giubelean, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Sergiu Coșeriu scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marnix de Jaeger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Lucian Petriceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Nedelciu came free, but Marnix de Jaeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucian Petriceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucian Petriceanu during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lucian Petriceanu hit a great ball. Marnix de Jaeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Grigore Cristoloveanu made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marnix de Jaeger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Springplank FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucian Petriceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Dumitru Pantelimon drilling the ball in to score 9-0 behind Springplank FC's goalkeeper. Springplank FC's Marnix de Jaeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Pantelimon in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marnix de Jaeger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Marnix de Jaeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Giubelean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Grigore Cristoloveanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marnix de Jaeger was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. After 94 played minutes Springplank FC got a freekick which was hit by Thijs Pool. Lucian Petriceanu didn't quite understand what happened when in the 96 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Academia Rio fully deserved thier win.
