Orestis Lazarou made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Hartwig Engelhardt sent off a good shot on target. Jurgen Winters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ago Vaasna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's Simon Bannenbusch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orestis Lazarou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Arnout Arends came free, but Ago Vaasna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnout Arends in the 11th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Arnout Arends hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rondo's Orestis Lazarou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hartwig Engelhardt in the 14th minute of play. Rondo's Orestis Lazarou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Rondo from getting a goal against them. Marian Matetzki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Jurgen Winters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Bannenbusch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Lazarou having to interfere. Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Hartwig Engelhardt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ago Vaasna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asdrubal Rodríguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Marian Matetzki got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Lando Cürten got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Rondo got a corner. KFC Uerdingen 05's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Bannenbusch was the one to do the kick off. Ago Vaasna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnout Arends, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Marian Matetzki hit a great ball. When Fabrizio Nowak fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Uerdingen 05's protests and gave Fabrizio Nowak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Fabrizio Nowak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rick de Zee hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ago Vaasna. That made the score 0-1 after 61 minutes of play. Rondo's Dirk-Jan Knuppel got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Marian Matetzki hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Marian Matetzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes, Rondo's Jurgen Winters shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ago Vaasna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rondo reached it. Ago Vaasna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnout Arends in the 72nd minute. Orestis Lazarou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Ying Liang in the 73rd minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Hartwig Engelhardt managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Rondo made a substitution. Miguel Lope replaced Asdrubal Rodríguez. After having played for 78 minutes, Marian Matetzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Uerdingen 05's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Matetzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Hartwig Engelhardt made a precise shot to the right of Orestis Lazarou. Rondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Hartwig Engelhardt came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the KFC Uerdingen 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hartwig Engelhardt couldn't finish the play. In the 94th match minute, Rondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jochem den Hartog to maneuver through the defense. The Rondo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented KFC Uerdingen 05 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
