Riemannian's Valerio Quintanilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo de Senna in the 15th minute of play. Acácio Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xesc Rallo's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Xesc Rallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Riells made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Athletico Paulistano's Agnaldo Mattos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 38th minute of play forced Riemannian's goalkeeper Valerio Quintanilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valerio Quintanilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho dos Santos in the 45th minute of play. Acácio Lara made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Chico Campos sent off a good shot on target.

When Xesc Rallo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Riemannian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xesc Rallo couldn't finish the play. Riemannian's Valerio Quintanilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Riemannian from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xesc Rallo in the 62nd minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Riemannian's zone, Fabinho dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valerio Quintanilla came out of the goal and Fabinho dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chico Campos took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Acácio Lara. Acácio Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Club Athletico Paulistano's zone, Xesc Rallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acácio Lara came out of the goal and Xesc Rallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
