If Leon Goretzka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Czermno's Jerzy Niedbalski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodrigo Gaspard. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Ronny Åman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Gaspard made a huge save. Lin Hong Song took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Panella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arrigo Reali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronny Åman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Gaspard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Armando Panella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lin Hong Song was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. FC Czermno's Leon Goretzka quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Andrézinho Batista, made in the 21st minute of the game. In the 26th minute Jerzy Niedbalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Loukas Karaliopoulos who took care of the corner kick. Bo-Erik Larsson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. FC Czermno's Roland Radziszewski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andrézinho Batista in the 31 minute of the game. Lin Hong Song showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaetano Scirea in the 33rd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, FC Czermno's Jerzy Niedbalski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Gaspard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Jerzy Niedbalski might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Gaspard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerzy Niedbalski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalkeeper Rodrigo Gaspard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaetano Scirea in the 46th minute of play forced FC Czermno's goalkeeper Lin Hong Song to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerzy Niedbalski made a kick off. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Gaetano Scirea got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, FC Czermno's goalkeeper Lin Hong Song had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Panella. 54 minutes into the game, Jerzy Niedbalski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rodrigo Gaspard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaetano Scirea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Lin Hong Song tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaetano Scirea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Goretzka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lin Hong Song made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Panella in the 75th minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Jerzy Niedbalski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Rodrigo Gaspard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Panella struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Lin Hong Song didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ. Jerzy Niedbalski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rodrigo Gaspard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, FC Czermno's goalkeeper Lin Hong Song had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaetano Scirea. A sloppy throw-in by Andrézinho Batista in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Czermno's Flavius Ichim. In the 89th minute of the match FC Czermno got a corner. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loukas Karaliopoulos ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Arkadiusz Karanowski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Rodrigo Gaspard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Niedbalski in the 93rd minute of play. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
