Raimond Aumann came out of the goal and Javier Bordat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferman Sıraç in the 43rd minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Cemal Özgun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Zhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Bordat to make the kick off. The Last Airbender's Mikail Savgat was substituted for Yavuzalp Mesut. Raimond Aumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martial Haas in the 84th minute of the match.
